New York
In the summers of the early 1950s, Elizabeth Grinton stayed in New York and attended school at New York University to get her master's degree in elementary education. This coincides with the time that she spent at Camp Quannacut. By 1959 she had earned not only her master's degree from NYU, but also specialized certificates from Wake Forest and UNC, including one for "Specialized Children's Gifted & Talented Program" from UNC Charlotte.1
