Early Education

In 1924, the Lincoln Heights School was built as a school for Wilkesboro's African American children to attend.  Elizabeth Parks attained her early education here, from 1924 until 1935.  In particular, her 10th grade year of schooling including classes in English, French, and Geometry, as well as other common subjects.
