This book provides a short history of the institution written by Cratis D. Williams and Ruby J. Lanier as well as biographical sketches, including retirement activities and accomplishments, of numerous former presidents/chancellors and faculty emeriti of Appalachian State University. Published in 1994, the book also includes an "In Memoriam" section.
