The Jefferson Post was a twice-weekly newspaper printed in West Jefferson, North Carolina. Printing news, announcements and obituaries for Ashe County, the newspaper was owned by Civitas Media of Davidson, North Carolina, and had a circulation of 6,500. The Jefferson Post began publishing in 1988. The newspaper was the result of a merger between Ashe County's historic weekly newspaper The Skyland Post and a competing weekly of 10 years, the Jefferson Times.
